URGENT - Your Vote May be LOST!

URGENT UPDATE!!!

YOUR VOTES MAY NOT BE COUNTED!

Today Cityview issued a statement indicating that they would declare INVALID any proxy votes received via a third party.  This mean all votes sent to the shareholders group.  Unfortunately they left this announcement until it was too late for us send forms back to shareholders in time for them to forward to the company before the deadline.
We can't say definitively if this was deliberately timed to prevent some votes being counted or if it's just coincidence.  You decide.
Regardless of the number of new shares issued in recent weeks it is still critical to get all of the votes in to demonstrate that shareholder will is being trampled upon.  We are working on several other avenues of action with the relevant authorities and the clear demonstration of shareholder sentiment is very helpful toward getting those wheels turning.
In order to deal with this and ensure your votes are counted we will be attempting to contact, by phone, all of the shareholders who have sent us proxy forms.  This is no small number and will take considerable resources...
If you have already cast a vote in favour of the company, but since researching more wish to change your vote to a shareholder vote, you can also do that by following these instructions and clearly marking on your form:
"I revoke all prior proxies"
You can save us some valuable time by following these instructions:
  1. Send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it   letting us know you know about this issue and are intending to send your forms in so we can take you off the contact list.  Please include the name your holding is under and the phone number you put on the original proxy form so we can identify you on our list.
  2. Download a blank copy of the forms from: this page
  3. Fill them in just as you did with the originals.
  4. ENSURE you have included your HIN or SRN number on the form.  If you don't know it you should be able to find it on your chess statements or by contacting your broker.(or us, if we held your original form)
  5. Return the forms to: (Latest information received Friday Jan 23rd 1pm)
We have had confirmation from Computershare that they will accept all proxy forms directly, collate and tally,
FAX to Computershare on (08) 9323 2033 - you can fax from your local Post Office or Offfice store if you have no fax at home.
Our most recent voting recommendation are:
Resolution 1: Against
Resolution 2: abstain
Resolutions 3 - 13: FOR
Resolution 14: Against
Any resolutions you do not cast a vote for will be cast by your nominated proxy.  If you wish to nominate a proxy we recommend you use the name: "Steven Coughlan".  If you leave this blank then the Chairman will exercise your proxy votes for you, so please only do that if you have already marked your voting choices as the Chairman will vote AGAINST all shreholder resolutions. That has been made clear.
Please remember your proxy forms MUST REACH COMPUTERSHARE or CITYVIEW BY 11AM (Perth time) Wednesday 28th JANUARY.  Remember Monday is a public holiday.
We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused however this sort of tactic was unforseen.  We URGE you to take action to make sure your vote is counted.  This sort of behaviour cannot go unanswered.

Voting Results - Under the Surface

The 116 signatories to the original EGM request will no doubt recall the very first resolution that was put to the Board at that time:

That the non-renounceable pro rata entitlements issue announced by the company to the ASX on 7th November 2008 be withdrawn and, if deemed necessary by the board, the offer is to be reissued on terms that permit the issue of no more than 20% of currently issued capital."

Who is Malcolm Keith Johnson?
News letter to CVI Shareholders  Mark Smyth issued a copy of an Angolan document (Diario de Republica, issue 62 April 2008) to show that Nhefo has been gazetted and Canzar has exploratory rights to the concession"    It in fact showed that mining rights had not been granted but were still subject to meeting of certain conditions. Only exploration was allowed. That is not all it showed. There was something else there, something lurking in the background. There was a very interesting name. MALCOLM KEITH JOHNSON. The name rang a bell.

Fighting Fund required
Request for assistance

We were hoping we could manage without getting to the point of needing to look at extra funds, as things were going along very nicely, and though putting in enormous hours, we were doing things that didn’t cost a significant amount of 'real money'. Many have already offered funds, and we've so far declined help.
